What To Expect During Your Procedure
These general guidelines will help you prepare for and stay comfortable during your imaging procedure at Lone Peak Imaging Center in Draper:
- Wear loose-fitting clothes. Don't wear items containing metal. You may be asked to change into a hospital gown. In some cases, you may be asked to remove jewelry, watches, hairpins, eyeglasses or dentures.
- Some tests require that you go without eating or drinking for a specified time beforehand. Be sure to ask your doctor about this at least 24 hours before your procedure.
- Tell your technologist if there is any chance you may be pregnant or if you are breastfeeding.
- Tell your technologist if you are allergic to shellfish or iodine.
- Some procedures require you to remain still for a period of time. Your technologist will explain what you need to do for a successful procedure.
- Any previous imaging studies at any other facilities please bring with you on CD if available.
Estimated Procedure Time
- 30–60 minutes (varies with procedure and case load)
- Please note that times for scheduled exams differ greatly depending on exam type
- Some delays for emergency cases may occur

Important Note About Results
Radiology results are only given to your ordering physician, their office, or any physician that is continuing care for the patient. No results are given to patients over the phone or via fax.
If your doctor requires you to take copies of your images with you, they will be available on CD only unless your doctor has made special arrangements with our department.
